Tony Hardmon is the cinematographer of the forthcoming ESPN Billie Jean King biopic, GIVE ME THE BALL! and the Academy Award winning documentary CRISIS HOTLINE: VETERANS PRESS 1. His other credits include the PGA Award winning MY MOM JAYNE, the BAFTA nominated AMERICAN SYMPHONY, the Academy Award nominated THE BARBER OF LITTLE ROCK, the NAACP Award winning documentary JOHN LEWIS: GOOD TROUBLE and the Emmy Award winning series THE 1619 PROJECT.
Tony has collaborated with some of the industry's most respected filmmakers--including Liz Garbus, Heidi Ewing, Rachel Grady, Dawn Porter and Stacey Peralta.
His producer credits include AMERICAN SYMPHONY, the Emmy Award winning THE HOLLY, and SEMPER FI: ALWAYS FAITHFUL.
Tony is an AMPAS member, a Sundance Lab Fellow and Ridenhour Documentary Film Prize winner.
From 2015 to 2016 Tony was the verité cinematographer for NBA star Kobe Bryant, where he logged over 1000 hours of intimate footage both on and off the court during Kobe's final NBA season.
Known for his discipline and endurance, Tony holds a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and will often be found training on the mats when he's not behind the camera.
